KANIGARAN – Pembagian sembako di Kota Probolinggo seolah tidak ada habisnya di bulan Ramadan yang pandemi COVID 19 ini. Setelah memberi bantuan ke masyarakat melibatkan pendataan dari komunitas, roadshow ke panti asuhan dan panti jompo, Wali Kota Hadi Zainal Abidin juga membagikan bantuan sembako untuk ribuan abang becak dan sopir angkot, Sabtu (23/5).
“Meski sudah memperoleh bantuan sembako dari pemkot beberapa waktu lalu, kembali ribuan abang becak dan sopir angkot terima bantuan sembako sebagai tambahan. Tukang becak dan sopir angkot layak untuk diberi tambahan bantuan dengan kondisi saat ini. Semoga bermanfaat bantuan dari pemerintah ini ya, Pak?," Wali Kota Habib Hadi, dengan logat madura kepada abang becak yang menerima bantuan. Siang itu, sebanyak 2.242 bantuan sembako dibagikan.
Wali Kota juga memberikan edukasi kepada mereka agar selalu memakai masker saat bekerja dan rajin cuci tangan serta menjaga kesehatan agar tidak terpapar covid 19.
"Semoga beban ekonomi yang dihadapi para tukang becak dan sopir angkot bisa dikurangi dengan bantuan tambahan ini. Kita akan terus berbagi dan melakukan yang terbaik bagi masyarakat," imbuhnya.
Pemkot juga mengapresiasi semua pihak yang peduli dengan kondisi saat ini. Termasuk komunitas yang peduli ikut mendistribusikan bantuan bagi warga terdampak covid 19.
"Saya yakin kekompakan dan kebersamaan ini bisa membantu warga yang terlewat belum dapat bantuan. Karena semuanya bahu membahu memberikan informasi agar bantuan bisa diterima oleh warga yang membutuhkan,"ujar wali kota.
Para abang becak tentu saja senang mendapat bantuan tambahan sembako itu. Salah satunya Nur Hasan (70), warga Kelurahan Sumber Wetan. "

Probolinggo city administration has been relentlessly distributing staple-food packages in Ramadhan month as the COVID-19 pandemic is still accelerating. After distributing the aid to the people using the data collected by the social community, having a roadshow to orphanages, Mayor Hadi Zainal Abidin distributed staple-food packages to thousands of pedicab and public transport drivers on Saturday (23/5).
“Again, we distributed the packages to the pedicab and public transport drivers because they deserve more staple-food packages as they are heavily affected by the pandemic. Hopefully, it can be useful,” Mayor Habib Hadi said while distributing 2,242 staple-food packages.
The mayor gave the people education to wear a mask at work, wash their hand frequently, and maintain their health to avoid COVID-19.
“I hope the aid can ease the burden of these people. We will distribute more and do the best for the people,” he added.
The city administration appreciates all sides who participate and care about each other, including the community who participate in distributing the aid to the people affected by COVID-19.
“I’m sure by having togetherness we can help the people who have not received any aid because everyone is helping each other by giving information so that the aid can be distributed to those people in need,” the mayor said.
One of the pedicab drivers, Nur Hasan, a resident of Sumber Wetan urban village, was grateful to receive the aid and thank the government for the aid. “Thank you, mayor. May you live long,” he said. (alfien_tr)
