(famydecta)
Grocery packages from the Probolinggo city’s local budget for residents economically affected by COVID 19 are ready to be distributed. Starting from Tuesday (5/5), the groceries have been distributed to 29 urban village offices in 5 sub-districts. To monitor the distribution process, Mayor Hadi Zainal Abidin visited some urban village offices.
Along with Regional Secretary drg. Ninik Ira Wibawati, the mayor visited several urban villages in three sub-districts. Triwung Kidul was the first urban village office being visited by the mayor, with the data of beneficiaries reaches 1,758 families.
"We monitor the readiness of the distribution. Residents who are enlisted to receive are those excluded from other assistance programs from the provincial and central government and the Ministry of Social Affairs. Each urban village gets a quota according to the field verification," said Habib Hadi.
The assistance worth IDR 150,000 per package is divided into two different items including 10 kg of rice, oil, and instant noodles. The other one is 10 kg of rice, instant noodles, and sugar. The assistance is only distributed to people economically affected by COVID 19.
The distribution is based on the readiness of each urban village. ”If all the packages have been collected, they can be distributed immediately, our target is as soon as possible. It requires time, and I hope the community can be patient," the mayor added.
After Triwung Kidul Kelurahan, Mayor Habib Hadi and Secretary Ninik left for a number of kelurahan in Kanigaran Sub-district including Curah Grinting - Tisnonegaran - Kanigaran - Kebonsari Kulon - Sukoharjo urban village. Then the two urban villages in Mayangan Sub-district being visited were Mayangan and Sukabumi urban village.
In the monitoring, it was found out that the urban villages collaborate with non-governmental organizations, neighborhood organizations, and the residents to put the groceries into packages.
The mayor also asked the urban villages to display data of beneficiaries in a place that could be seen by the people. "Together, we do the best for the people. If there is any beneficiary who rejects the assistance, we can give it to those in need," he said.
During the distribution, Habib Hadi also advised to involve three pillars in each village, to continue to apply health protocols, wear masks, stay away from any crowd, and apply physical distancing. He also asked the urban villages to open a complaints portal so that the community could file any report on the assistance.
"There must be human errors in distributing assistance. We will have an evaluation," said Habib Hadi when asked if there were residents who were missed to get the assistance.
Some urban villages have their concept of distributing assistance by applying health protocols. Some distribute the assistance at the urban village offices, and the other distributed to the neighborhood organizations. (alfien_tr)
