MAYANGAN – RSUD dr Mohamad Saleh Kota Probolinggo kini sudah menerapi seseorang dengan kelainan darah, yaitu menggunakan apheresis. Selain untuk terapi pasien yang mengalami gangguan darah, alat ini juga bisa membantu pasien COVID 19.
Seperti yang sudah diperbincangkan di dunia kesehatan di Indonesia, Plt Direktur RSUD dr Mohamad Saleh dr Abraar HS Kuddah mengungkapkan, apheresis bisa membantu pasien COVID 19 melakukan terapi dengan proses mendongkrak antibodi.
“Biasanya diterapkan untuk pasien COVID 19 kritis atau emergency yang membutuhkan antibodi. Tujuan dasar kami adalah mempercepat penanggulangan COVID 19 dengan memberikan terapi alternatif terbaik,” katanya.
Alat pemisah komponen darah atau apharesis ini sifatnya portable, bisa mobile ke ruangan-ruangan rawat inap jika dibutuhkan. Secara teknis, dokter spesialis patologi klinik di RSUD dr Mohamad Saleh, dr Boby Mulyadi mengungkapkan, untuk pasien COVID 19 terapi yang digunakan adalah plasma pasien COVID 19 yang sudah sembuh diambil dengan alat ini.
Kemudian dimasukkan atau ditransfusikan ke pasien COVID dengan kriteria berat atau parah. “Jadi penelitian di luar negeri itu, ada 19, ada 5 orang yang membaik dengan pemberian terapi menggunakan alat ini,” tutur dr Boby, kepada wartawan, Senin (1/6) siang.
Bahkan penelitian menyebutkan hampir 50 macam jenis penyakit yang berkaitan dengan darah bisa diterapi dengan alat pendukung ini. “Cara kerja alat ini, komponen patologis yang jelek di-saring atau buang, komponen yang baik dikembalikan ke tubuh pasien,” sambungnya.
Pemenuhan alat medis di RSUD terus dilakukan, setelah beberapa waktu lalu membeli alat tes swab PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction), kini rumah sakit di Jalan Panjaitan itu sudah punya apheresis. Dengan keberadaan alat-alat tersebut, RSUD memberikan kemudahan pelayanan kesehatan cukup di Kota Probolinggo saja.
“Untuk masyarakat tidak perlu takut lagi berobat ke RSUD. Satu langkah akan kami capai yaitu penempatan pasien COVID 19 akan kami taruh di satu gedung khusus sehingga tidak menulari pasien lain,” tegas dr Abraar, saat jumpa pers.
Plt Direktur RSUD dr Mohamad Saleh ini mengaku akan selalu men-support rekan-rekannya berkarya dan berkiprah di dunia kesehatan. “Kami ingin merubah paradigma RSUD ini jadi rumah sakit yang memberikan pelayanan asal-asalan. Kami ingin merubah RSUD yang lebih baik dan memberikan pelayanan terbaik untuk masyarakat Kota Probolinggo,” tegas dokter spesialis bedah ini.
Sebagai jajaran pengurus RSUD dr Mohamad Saleh, ia juga terus berpesan kepada masyarakat untuk mengikuti aturan protokol kesehatan. Seperti menggunakan masker, menjaga physical distancing dan menjaga kebersihan. (famydecta)
Regional Hospital RSUD dr Mohammad Saleh - Probolinggo city, can now perform therapy on patients with a blood disorder, using a medical technology called apheresis. Besides being used for therapy of a patient who has a blood disorder, the technology can also be used to help patients with COVID-19.
As was discussed in the health world in Indonesia, Acting Director of RSUD dr Mohammad Saleh, dr Abraar HS Kuddah revealed apheresis can help the patient with COVID-19 to have a therapy to increase the quality of antibody.
“It can be used for critical or emergency COVID-19 patient who needs an antibody. The technology is used to accelerate the handling of COVID-19 by performing the best therapy,” he said.
The blood component separator or apheresis is portable, a mobile machine, and can be brought to the inpatient room if needed. Technically, the specialist doctor of clinical pathology of the regional hospital, dr Boby Mulyadi revealed the therapy for COVID-19 is taking the plasma from COVID-19 patients who have recovered.
The plasma is then being transfused into COVID-19 patients with certain criteria. “Based on research done abroad, 5 patients are getting better with therapy using the machine,” said dr Boby to the press on Monday (1/6).
The research even claimed that almost 50 blood-related disease cases can undergo therapy using this machine. “How the machine works is to separate the blood component, disposing the bad, and transfusing the good component into the patient,” he continued. The regional hospital keeps providing the best medical devices at the facility. After buying a PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) swab test, the hospital is now completing the facility with an apheresis machine. By having the machines, the hospital gives the people easy access to health facilities without having to go out of town.
“No need to be afraid of going to the hospital. Another effort we are doing is to put COVID-19 patients in a special building so that they cannot infect other patients,” dr Abraar said.
The acting director of the regional hospital admitted to always support his colleagues to be creative and innovative in the health world. “We want to change a paradigm claiming that the regional hospital cannot give good services. We want to change the hospital to be better and give the best service to the people,” said the surgeon.
He also urges the people to adopt health protocols including wearing a mask, do physical distancing, and maintain cleanliness. (alfien_tr)
