MAYANGAN - Menyadari akan kebutuhan air bagi masyarakat, Pemerintah Kota Probolinggo telah melakukan berbagai upaya. Tidak hanya mendroping air bersih ke permukiman warga dan tempat ibadah, Dinas Kesehatan P2KB pun melakukan pengecekan terhadap kelaikan kualitas air yang dibagikan ke masyarakat, Selasa (11/2).
Seperti yang diketahui, kerusakan pipa PDAM memang membuat masyarakat kebingungan untuk mendapatkan air. Sebagai kompensasinya, PDAM telah mendistribusikan air menggunakan tangki. Selain PDAM, Damkar, Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) pun ikut andil mendroping air bersih. Total ada 10 tangki yang mobile di wilayah Kota Probolinggo.
Jika PDAM mengambil air dari tandon di Wonoasih, Damkar dan DLH mengambil air dari sumber air yang ada. Beruntung Kota Probolinggo punya banyak sumber air yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam kondisi seperti saat ini. “Namun untuk memberikan kenyamanan bagi masyarakat, saya meminta Dinas Kesehatan mengecek kualitas air tersebut,” ujar Wali Kota Probolinggo Hadi Zainal Abidin.
Ada dua sumber air yang dicek langsung oleh Dinas Kesehatan, yakni Sumber Air Kekok (Jalan Supriyadi, barat Yon Zipur) dan Sumber Air Sumber pacar di Jalan Arif Rahman Hakim. Hasilnya, secara fisika, dua sumber air kondisinya masih baik dan layak.
Plt Dinas Kesehatan P2KB, dr Nurul Hasanah Hidayati mengungkapkan, jenis pemeriksaan fisika yang dilaksanakan di lokasi ada tiga model. Yaitu PH, TDS (jumlah padatan terlarut) dan kekeruhan. Di Sumber Kekok dan Sumber pacar dinyatakan PH baik (netral), TDS baik dan kekeruhan bagus.
Untuk pengecekan secara kimia harus dilakukan di Labkesda membutuhkan waktu satu hari. Sementara untuk mengetahui air mengandung bakteri ecoli atau tidak harus menunggu 2-4 hari karena membutuhkan proses pengeraman.
dr Ida-panggilan akrabnya menyatakan, standar air layak pakai untuk rumah tangga/konsumsi adalah air PDAM. “Sumber air yang ada ini untuk alternatif. Untuk cuci, mandi bisa karena secara fisik bagus. Kalau untuk dikonsumsi kami menyarankan gunakan air galon yang sudah teruji,” jelasnya, saat ditemui di lokasi sumber air.
Hingga saat ini, droping air untuk masyarakat terus dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Kota Probolinggo. Melalui droping tersebut diharapkan sedikit meringankan beban masyarakat akibat kerusakan pipa PDAM yang masih terus dikerjakan oleh tim teknis. (famydecta)
Probolinggo municipal administration makes all-out efforts as the people are now under the water crisis. Not only disbursing clean water to settlements and worship places, but Health Agency on Tuesday (11/2) has also checked the feasibility of water quality being disbursed.
As is known, the burst pipe belongs to the city’s state-owned water company PDAM has made the people in confusion to get clean water. Responding to this, PDAM has dropped clean water using tanks. Apart from PDAM, the fire-fighters (Damkar) and Environment Agency (DLH) also take part in dropping clean water. There are 10 tanks in total, going mobile throughout the city.
While PDAM dropped the water from a water stock at Wonoasih, Damkar and DLH take the water from the existing water sources. Luckily, the city has many water sources can be used in urgent condition alike. “But, to give convenience to the people, I ask the Health Agency to check the water quality,” Probolinggo Mayor Hadi Zainal Abidin said.
Two water sources being checked by Health Agency includes Sumber Air Kekok and Sumber Pacar, resulting in the water sources are in good condition and can be used for daily needs.
The acting head of Health Agency dr Nurul Hasanah Hidayati said the physical check carried out in the location uses three methods, including Ph (Potential hydrogen), TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), and the water turbidity.
The chemical check must be carried out at the Regional Health Laboratory (Labkesda), and it will need one day to be completed. And, to find out whether the water contains any Escherichia coli bacteria, the laboratory check must wait for 2-4 days due to incubation process.
The acting director, popularly known dr Ida stated the standard of feasible water is the PDAM water. “The existing water sources are just for other alternatives. It’s for washing or bathing since it has good condition physically. Yet, we don’t suggest the water used for consumption, you better consume the galloon water that has been tested,” she said.
As the news uploaded, water dropping to the people is still on process. It is expected to ease the burden of the people caused by the PDAM’s burst pipe. (alfien_tr)
