KANIGARAN – Pada Desember 2019 lalu, Kota Probolinggo mengalami kenaikan inflasi sebesar 0,28 persen. Oleh karena itu, kota berikon mangga dan anggur itu mendapat predikat inflasi terendah, bahkan melebihi inflasi nasional yang hanya 0,34 persen.
“Inflasi terendah terjadi di Kota Probolinggo, 0.28 persen. Sedangkan inflasi tertinggi di Surabaya, mencapai 0,60 persen. Dari 8 kota Indeks Harga Konsumen (IHK) di Jawa Timur seluruhnya mengalami inflasi,” Kata Kepala Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kota Probolinggo, Adenan, Senin, (20/1).
Menyikapi rendahnya inflasi itu, Wali Kota Probolinggo selaku Ketua Tim Pengendalian Inflasi Daerah (TPID) Hadi Zainal Abidin menyampaikan bahwa, dari 10 komoditas penyumbang inflasi tahun 2019, yang dikhawatirkan justru adalah komoditas beras. Ternyata dari prediksi tersebut, katanya, beras tidak terbukti sebagai penyumbang inflasi, karena naik turunnya disebabkan faktor musim. “Demikian juga halnya dengan telur ayam ras dan dan daging ayam ras, bukan (penyumbang inflasi) secara agregat (akumulasi),” jelasnya.
Nah, Di tahun 2020 ini, Habib Hadi- panggilan akrab wali kota- menyebut, TPID memiliki tingkat kesulitan yang tinggi dalam meraih capaian target. Hal itu dikarenakan pemerintah pusat kabarnya akan menaikkan beberapa harga komoditi yang menjadi domainnya. “Diantaranya seperti BBM, elpiji tabung melon, tarif listrik, BPJS dan tarif tol,” ujarnya.
Melihat situasi ini, pemerintah kota sudah mempersiapkan diri dengan mengupayakan 6 langkah kebijakan. Yaitu, ketersediaan sembako dengan harga terjangkau, termasuk mempersiapkan segala kemungkinan apabila ada kenaikan pada beberapa item diatas, oleh Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) terkait.
Lalu, peningkatan komunikasi dan konsolidasi antar OPD, serta sosialisasi yang intens dalam hal diversifikasi olahan pangan. Termasuk mengadakan kegiatan pasar murah di setiap kecamatan secara bergilir, dengan menggandeng toko-toko besar yang ada di Kota Probolinggo untuk ikut serta meramaikan kegiatan tersebut.
“Kami mengimbau masyarakat agar tetap bijak dalam berkonsumsi. Terima kasih saya ucapkan kepada segenap tim (TPID) dan masyarakat yang telah membantu terjaganya inflasi di kota kita tercinta,” pungkasnya.
Berdasarkan rilis BPS setempat, dari 7 kelompok pengeluaran, 5 kelompok mengalami inflasi dan 2 kelompok tidak mengalami perubahan. Inflasi tertinggi terjadi pada kelompok bahan makanan sebesar 0,63 persen. Sedangkan kelompok perumahan, air, listrik, gas dan bahan bakar serta kelompok pendidikan, rekreasi dan olahraga tidak mengalami perubahan.
Komoditas utama yang memberikan andil terbesar terhadap inflasi Kota Probolinggo di bulan Desember 2019 ialah telur ayam ras, tomat sayur, bawang merah, angkutan antar kota, minyak goreng, susu untuk bayi, susu untuk balita, jeruk, kaos dalam/singlet dan kendaraan carter/rental.

In December 2019, the inflation rate in Probolinggo city rose by 0.28 percent. Therefore, the city gets the predicate of the lowest inflation, surpassing the national inflation which was only 0.34 percent.
“Probolinggo city has the lowest inflation by 0.28 percent. The highest one was in Surabaya by 0.6 percent. Of eight cities, the Consumer Price Index (IHK) in East Java has experienced inflation,” The head of Probolinggo city’s Statistic Center, Adenan said on Monday (20/1).
Responding to the low inflation, Probolinggo Mayor, Hadi Zainal Abidin, as the Chairman of Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) said that, of 10 commodities causing the inflation in 2019, the one predicted to be worried was rice. Yet, it was wrong since rice is not causing inflation. “The same goes with egg and chicken meat. They are not causing the inflation in aggregate,” he said.
In 2020, the mayor, popularly known as Habib Hadi, stated TPID has difficulties in reaching the target. This is due to the information telling that the central government will raise the price of several commodities. “Including fuel, liquid gas, electricity, health insurance BPJS, and toll tariff,” he said.
Therefore, the municipal administration has preparedmade preparation by making 6 policies including providing low-cost groceries, preparing all possibilities to respond to the increasing prices of those commodities.
Improving the communication, consolidation among the working units, and having intense dissemination on diversification of food processing has been the efforts made by the municipal administration conducted. It includes holding a cheap market in each sub-district one to another by making collaboration with the stores in the city.
“We urge people to keep wise in having consumption. I’d like to say thanks to the TPID team and people who have helped to maintain the inflation rate in our beloved city,” he ended.
Based on the release made by the local Statistic Center, of 7 expenditure groups, 5 of them have experienced inflation and the other two remain stable. The highest inflation goes to the food group by 0.63 percent. For housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel, as well as the education group, recreational group, and sport have no changes.
The main commodity causing the inflation in December 2019 was the chicken egg, tomato, onion, public transportation, cooking oil, milk for babies, milk for toddlers, orange fruit, underwear, and rental cars.
On the inflation rate until December 2019, Probolinggo city has experienced inflation by 1.99 percent. Meanwhile, the inflation rate year on year (December 2019 compared to December 2018) was 1.99 percent. (alfien_tr)
