"To overcome learning difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic, emergency curricula and learning modules can be used. This is to reduce the burden on teachers in implementing the national curriculum and students in relation to determining annual promotion and graduation," said Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Anwar Makarim, on Wednesday (2/9).

Ninik Ira Wibawati, Assistant for Government Affairs Paeni, Head of Education and Culture Agency Mochammad Maskur appeared at the Command Center of the mayor’s office.
According to the Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Karim, in a special learning module for Early Childhood Education (PAUD) and Elementary Schools (SD), where distance learning is considered very difficult to do, a new module containing guidelines for accompanying teachers (parents) and students, is issued.
The government has implemented various policies and initiatives to deal with learning constraints during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the revision of the Joint Ministerial Decree (SKB) for 4 ministers and the emergent curriculum in special conditions. The 4-ministerial decree involves the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Health as well as the Ministry of Education and Culture. The emergency curriculum gives schools the flexibility to choose a curriculum that suits the learning needs of their students.
In the revision of the decree, the face-to-face learning method in schools can be carried out in the green zone and yellow zone. "For areas in the orange and red zones, face-to-face learning is still prohibited in all education units. Schools in these zones continue to implement the school-at-home method," continued Nadiem.
Even in the green and yellow zones, schools cannot carry out face-to-face learning without the approval of the regional head and school principal. "The most important thing is, of course, you have to get approval from the parents of the students when face-to-face learning is about to be carried out in the green and yellow zones," continued Nadiem.
The Minister of Education and Culture advised all parties to work together. The role of parents, teachers, and schools can help to make the learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic, a success. (alfien_tr)
