TEGALSIWALAN – Kenyamanan bagi sebagian besar pelanggan PDAM Kota Probolinggo harus terusik sejak Sabtu (8/2) lalu. Ini lantaran adanya kerusakan pipa ukuran 18 dim milik PDAM di sumber air Ronggojalu, Desa Banjarsawah, Kecamatan Tegalsiwalan, Kabupaten Probolinggo yang menjadi penyalur utama air ke Kota Probolinggo.
Hingga Senin (10/2) sore, perbaikan pipa masih berlangsung. Wali Kota Probolinggo Hadi Zainal Abidin pun datang untuk mengecek sejauh mana perbaikan itu dilakukan oleh tim teknis PDAM. Tiba di lokasi, Habib Hadi disambut Direktur PDAM Siswadi yang kemudian menjelaskan kondisi terkini dari pipa zaman Belanda itu.
Penyebab kerusakan pipa karena struktur tanah yang berlumpur membuat kondisi tanah semakin menurun. “Saya melihat sendiri perbaikannya memang tidak mudah. Dan, saya tahu keluhan masyarakat begitu massif karena air memang sumber kebutuhan kita,” ujar Habib Hadi.
“Tapi, tolong dilihat. Kami, para petugas berupaya terus untuk membenahi ini semua. Sampai harus mencari alatnya ke Surabaya. Ini adalah upaya agar pipa bisa berfungsi lagi, pengerjaannya harus pelan-pelan dan penuh kehati-hatian,” imbuhnya.
Wali kota pun berharap perbaikan cepat selesai. “Tapi, kita lihat tantangannya dan harus dimengerti. Pipa ini menyalurkan 130 liter air per detik, jadi tekanannya begitu besar,” sambung mantan anggota DPR RI ini.
Mengantisipasi krisis air bersih bagi masyarakat Kota Probolinggo, khususnya sekitar 19 ribu pelanggan PDAM, Pemerintah Kota Probolinggo melakukan droping air bersih ke sejumlah permukiman warga sejak adanya perbaikan pipa.
Seperti Senin (10/2) pagi, droping menggunakan truk tangki diberikan ke warga di Perumahan Bromo, Perumahan Kopian, Perumahan Arum Permai hingga ke Pakistaji, Kecamatan Wonoasih. Tidak hanya menggunakan truk tangki PDAM, truk milik Damkar, Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan PDAM Kabupaten Probolinggo dikerahkan. Sasaran droping pun diberikan ke tempat ibadah seperti mushola atau masjid.
Bahkan, secara interaktif masyarakat yang membutuhkan air bersih dapat menghubungi petugas. Minggu (9/2) malam, petugas pun droping ke Perumahan Sumber Taman Indah, Kecamatan Wonoasih.
Saat ditanya kapan perbaikan selesai? “Kami tidak menunda-menunda perbaikan. Semua sedang dikerjakan untuk memperlancar aliran air ke masyarakat. Mohon doanya supaya cepat selesai dan tentunya kami memohon maaf kepada masyarakat atas ketidaknyamanan ini,” jawab Wali Kota Habib Hadi. (famydecta)
The burst pipe on Saturday (8/2) at the Ronggojalu water source belongs to state-owned water company PDAM of Probolinggo city has made the residents disrupted as it is the main source of water supply for the residents.
Until Monday (10/2), the pipe is still under maintenance when Probolinggo Mayor Hadi Zainal Abidin visited the facility to monitor the maintenance carried out by a technical team of PDAM. At the site, Habib Hadi was welcomed by PDAM Director Siswadi who then explained the latest condition of the pipe which has been used since the colonial age.
The cause of the burst pipe is due to muddy soil structure, lowering the position of the soil. “It is not easy maintenance. And, I know there are massive public complaints because we do need water for our daily needs,” Habib Hadi said.
“But, please, you can see. We do our best to fix this problem, and we have to find the equipment in Surabaya. This is our effort to restore the pipe back to normal. The maintenance must be carried out carefully,” he added.
The mayor hopes the maintenance could be soon finished. “But, we can see the challenges, and we must learn the condition. The pipe distributes 13 liters of water per second, with huge pressure,” added the former member of DPR RI. To anticipate the clean water crisis for the residents, especially for 19,000 customers of PDAM, Probolinggo municipal administration has disbursed clean water to the settlements.
On Monday (10/2), the water disbursement using a truck has been carried out at Bromo, Kopian, Arum Permai, and Pakistaji Settlement. Besides using the truck of PDAM, the fire-fighters trucks, Environment Agency trucks, and the trucks of Probolinggo Regency PDAM have been summoned. The target of the disbursement is to worship places including mushola or mosque.
The residents who need clean water can even call the officers, like on Sunday (9/2) evening; the officers disbursed the water to Sumber Taman Indah Settlement, Wonoasih Sub-district.
Asked on when the maintenance can be finished, the mayor said “We don’t delay the maintenance. All is done to give the best service to the people. Wish us luck, may the disruption can be soon solved, and we apologize to the people for the inconvenience,” he said. (alfien_tr)
