KANIGARAN - Pemerintah Kota Probolinggo punya amanah besar dari para donator untuk mendistribusikan bantuan bagi masyarakat yang membutuhkan. Senin (24/8) pagi, Wali Kota Hadi Zainal Abidin menyerahkan bantuan berupa 843 paket beras masing-masing seberat 25 kg dan 42 ribu butir multivitamin.
Bantuan ini diserahkan kepada lembaga pendidikan (pondok pesantren), panti asuhan dan panti jompo. Wali kota menekankan, tidak ingin mereka tidak mendapat perhatian serius dari pemerintah. “Bantuan ini berasal dari keluarga besar ASN di lingkungan Pemerintah Kota Probolinggo yang menyisihkan nafkahnya untuk masyarakat. Mudah-mudahan bantuan ini betul-betul bermanfaat,” kata Habib Hadi.
Selain beras sebagai kebutuhan pokok, lanjut wali kota, multivitamin juga penting untuk dikonsumsi mereka yang tinggal di pondok pesantren, panti asuhan atau panti jompo. Ia juga berpesan kepada pengasuh pondok agar mengatur jadwal kunjung wali santri, tujuannya mencegah santri di dalam pondok supaya tetap steril dari paparan COVID 19.
Dalam kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di Puri Manggala Bakti itu, Habib Hadi juga mengungkapkan harapannya terkait uji coba vaksin yang sudah memasuki tahap ketiga. “Bila vaksin sudah ditemukan, kita semua bisa leluasa. Sebelum vaksin ditemukan, tetap kedepankan protokol kesehatan,” kata wali kota yang didampingi Kepala BKPSDM Gogol Sudjarwo dan Inspektur Tartib Goenawan.
Untuk itu, pemerintah harus didukung stakeholder dalam bersosialisasi pada masyarakat. Sebab, selain pemerintah, tokoh masyarakat juga menjadi simbol edukasi melalui majelis atau pertemuan untuk menjawab keraguan masyarakat tentang adanya COVID 19.
“Kebersamaan ini (bersama seluruh stakeholder) menjadi multivitamin bagi saya, karena saya akan melangkah asal saya benar. Saya tidak bangga ditemani tapi jalan saya salah. Ini langkah saya untuk mengawal pemerintahan menjadi lebih baik lagi,” serunya.
Habib Hadi menyadari, banyak masyarakat yang menganggap COVID 19 tidak ada. “Apa kita rugi saat pakai masker, wong itu untuk kesehatan diri sendiri. Menjaga kesehatan diri sendiri itu kewajiban kita semua. Kalau bukan kita, siapa lagi? Sosialisasikan ke masyarakat, simple saja, gunakan masker saat berkegiatan, cuci tangan dan jaga jarak,” tegasnya.
“Ini menjadi tantangan bersama. Mengedukasi warga, lingkungan, santri, wali santri tentang kendala yang dihadapi,” lanjut Mantan Anggota DPRD Jawa Timur dan DPR RI yang mengajak undangan yang hadir mendoakan tenaga kesehatan (nakes) untuk bisa menjalankan tugas dengan baik. (famydecta)

The assistance was handed over to educational institutions (Islamic boarding schools), orphanages, and nursing homes. The mayor emphasized that these people must get more attention from the government. “This assistance was funded by the civil servants of Probolinggo city administration who set aside the living for the community. Hopefully, this assistance would be beneficial to all,” said Habib Hadi.
In addition to rice as a basic need, the mayor continued, a vitamin is also important for consumption for those who live in the boarding school, orphanage, or nursing home. He also urged the caretakers to set up a schedule of visits for the parents to prevent students from going home so that the boarding school will remain sterile from the exposure of COVID-19.
In the event carried out in Puri Manggala Bakti, city hall, Habib Hadi also expressed his hope related to the vaccine trial that has entered the third stage. “When a vaccine is found, we can all be free from this situation. Before a vaccine is found, health protocol remains a priority,” said the mayor who was accompanied by the Head of the BKPSDM Gogol Sudjarwo and the Inspector Tartib Goenawan.
To that end, the government must be supported by stakeholders in giving dissemination to the public. Besides the government, community leaders are also the symbol of education through a council or meeting to respond to the unrest about COVID-19.
“The togetherness (of all stakeholders) will be a booster to me, thus, I will take policy without any doubts. It'd be ashamed if I got supported for things I made mistakes in. This is my step to change the government better,” he said.
Habib Hadi realizes that many people have underestimated COVID-19, and considered it nonsense. “What we lose while wearing the mask? it's for the health of yourself. Keep the health of yourself it is the obligation of all of us. If not us, who else? It's simple, use a mask when doing outdoor activities, wash your hands and keep your distance,” he said.
“This becomes a challenge together. To educate the public, environment, students, and parents about the obstacles faced,” continued the Former Member of East Java Provincial DPRD and DPR RI who asks the public to pray for healthcare workers to be able to perform their duty well. (alfien_tr)
